The Behavioral Support Team of Blount County Schools

Description: The Behavioral Support Team of Blount County Schools is looking for a behavior technician to join the team. The behavior technician will be responsible for working with students with behavioral difficulties in a variety of classrooms of all grade levels across the district. The optimal candidate will enjoy working with challenging students, be flexible, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Requirements: Education level: Associates degree · Minimum of 3 years working in education or related field · Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred, but willing to provide training for the right candidate. BCBA supervision will be provided to obtain and maintain RBT certification. · Ability to provide physical intervention and de-escalation techniques if necessary (CPI nonviolent crisis intervention training will be provided) · Ability to self-manage and work independently · Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of team members
